HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR LASHES
Before Your Appointment
Do not apply mascara or curl your lashes for 2 days before your appointment. We need your lashes to be at their most natural state.
During Your Appointment
Your bottom lashes will be taped down with a surgical tape. This step prevents your top and bottom lashes from accidently being glued together as your eyes are closed for the entire procedure.
After Your Appointment
You will need to keep your new lashes dry away from steam and water for the first 24 hours. Take a warm bath, rinse your face with a wash cloth in the evening. Don't work out the same day where you will be sweaty.
Makeup:
Light eye shadow daily is ok if you do not have oily eyelids. Heavy eye shadow occasionally is ok, daily isn't since makeup tends to be quite oily.
Mascara is a big NO-NO. If you must, choose a simple kind that washes off easily, avoid waterproof formulas and apply at the tips only.
Eyeliner can easily get caught in your lash line making it difficult to clean. Excessive rubbing from cleaning will cause your extensions to fall off prematurely. However, you must keep the eye area clean!
For best results however, it is recommended to not wear any eye makeup. Most people find the extensions give their eyes enough of a 'pop' without additional shadow or liner.
Diluted baby wash is the best to clean your lashes. If you don't wear eye makeup, letting the soapy water run down your face in the shower is sufficient.
Eyecreams: Apply an hour before going to bed to let the cream absorb into your skin.
DO NOT: rub your eyes or let the shower beat directly on your extensions. Avoid steam rooms and saunas. Facials without steaming are okay, avoid products on the eyelids.
Safe for contact lense wearers.
AVOID EXCESSIVE HEAT SOURCES such as directly barbequing over the grill, putting your face directly into a hot oven, or standing under a heat lamp for prolonged periods. Doing so will cause your lashes to lose their curl.
If maintained properly, (for the average client) lashes will look good for 3-4 weeks with a 50% retention, fills done once a month to keep lashes looking full and fresh.
