WHAT IS PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Permanent Makeup, (also known as cosmetic tattooing or micro pigmentation), is the art and science of implanting pigments into the skin as a means to permanently enhance one's facial features. The most common forms of permanent makeup procedures include eyebrow, eyeliner and lipstick tattoos.
Unlike the permanent makeup of the '90s, our approach is to apply the latest techniques and quality products to create the softest, most natural looking enhancements that can be enjoyed for 1 - 3 years before requiring a Colour Boost.
Permanent Make-up Artist, Veronica Tran, is well known within the beauty industry for her artistic ability to combine what mother nature gave us with the latest beauty innovations to enhance your features without appearing obvious. To learn more about her credentials, click here.
We use only the best quality, USA and European made, USP grade pigments. All materials used during each and every appointment (including pre-sterilized blades) are 100% disposed of. We strictly adhere to Toronto Public Health guidelines for proper infection control practices. WE ARE A LICENSED FACILITY FOR MICROPIGMENTATION IN THE CITY OF TORONTO AND MARKHAM.

What are some benefits to having permanent cosmetics applied?
-
accentuate your facial features with smudge-free, waterproof make-up
-
save time applying makeup
-
helpful for those who have difficulty applying makeup due to poor eyesight or shaky hands
-
enhance features that have lost their youthful appearance due to age or illness such as loss of brow hairs or loss of definition in the lip line.
-
have the confidence to know the enhancements will not smudge or smear when the skin is wet from water or sweat, great for active people
Does Cosmetic Tattooing hurt?
For the most part, you will be numb and not feel any pain. An anesthetic is applied before the start of the procedure, and sometimes a secondary anesthetic is applied during. Some clients may experience the freezing slowly losing its effectiveness towards the end of the appointment. Even still, discomfort is kept to a minimum.
What is Semi-Permanent Makeup?
Although there is no standard definition for this term, it generally means that you will need a touch up within 1 - 3 years. At the height of the Permanent Makeup craze of the '90s, cosmetic tattooing was meant to last a very long time - between 5 - 10 years. Artists were taught to pack lots of pigment into the skin, much like a body tattoo. Unfortunately, this resulted in very unnatural appearing 'makeup'.
Today's techniques are just the opposite. With the combination of finer needles and far less pigment being deposited into the skin, artists are able to truly mimic natural looking 'makeup' to enhance but not overpower your features. Unfortunately, the tradeoff is quicker fading which means touch ups will be required sooner (Colour Boost).
Please be aware, however, that semi-permanent does not mean the tattoo will completely disappear after a few years. (Often it is faded enough after several years that it is not visible unless you look very closely.) Pigments implanted under the skin lasts a very long time. This includes microblading and manual methods of micro pigmentation.
