PERMANENT EYEBROWS
MICROBLADING , OMBRE POWDER BROWS, COMBINATION BROWS
What is Microblading?
Microblading, also commonly known as microstroking, eyebrow embroidery, and semi-permanent make-up, is a relatively new technique to North America. Using a manual hand tool, your artist etches a pattern of lines that mimic one's own hair growth pattern while implanting pigment simultaneously. The result is a natural looking brow that blends in with your existing brow hairs.
Who is Microblading best for?
Microblading is ideal for certain skin types with natural brow hairs that are beginning to thin out. The best results achieved with Microblading is when the work blends in with the natural eyebrow. Certain skin types will keep the crispness of hairstroke and colour longer than others. An experienced brow artist is able to assess whether this technique is right for you, and recommend other options if this technique will not produce natural looking results with your skin type.
Which technique is better for you?
It mostly comes down to your personal preference. While the powder brow works for almost everyone, many people may prefer microblading due to its current popularity. Microblading may not be suitable for everyone, such as those who have previous eyebrow tattoos that is still quite saturated with colour, very thin skin, or on blood thinners. We offer a complimentary 15 minute consultation if you would like to visit us and have us take a look at your brows.
What to Expect during your Eyebrow Appointment
During your appointment, your brows will be shaped and drawn to approval. We do not use stencils and each brow is custom designed to enhance your features according to your facial proportions and your desired overall shape. Once you are happy with the shape, your permanent makeup specialist will begin the procedure. This first appointment takes approximately two hours from start to finish, and a one-hour follow-up visit is scheduled 8 weeks later. The follow-up visit allows for minor touch-ups. You will be sent home with after care product and instructions, which you must follow diligently to ensure the best healed results possible.
Please note, that within the following few days after the initial procedure, your brows may appear dark. This is normal and part of the healing process. You must keep the area as clean as possible to avoid infections. This also means you must not apply makeup to your brows until they are fully healed. You will need to keep your brows away from steam, immersing in water, and sweaty workouts for the first 7-14 days. But don't worry - you'll be able to shower and wash your hair every day. You must also stay away from direct sunlight (this means no tanning!) for at least 4 weeks following your procedure. This doesn't mean you have to stay indoors! A good sunscreen and a hat will do. Failure to follow aftercare instructions may result in a poorly healed outcome.

A consultation prior to your permanent makeup service is not mandatory. When you book your appointment online, you will be required to complete a medical questionnaire and be given instructions on what pictures to email. This serves as your online consultation. It is required you carefully read all the information provided on the FAQs page in order to fully determine whether this procedure is right for you, and schedule it at a time when you are able to follow pre and post care instructions diligently. It is crucial for best results to follow the instructions given.
If you would like to speak to the artist, we offer complimentary 15 minute video consultations (that can be booked online) and in-person consultation for a fee of $50+hst. Please note this fee is not transferred to the cost of the service. If you would like to schedule an in-person consult, please email us your requested location, dates and times.
PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT:
To ensure best results, make sure your health is in good condition. Get enough rest, eat well, exercise.
48 hours before and after your microblading appointment: avoid alcohol and aspirin/ibuprofen.
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST ? :
This depends on age, skin type, lifestyle factors, and medication. Younger skin tends to fade quicker, same with oily skin. Frequent sun exposure will fade or often expose to certain chemicals (facial peels, chlorine, anti-aging products, etc.). Pigment retention varies depending on skin type, age, aftercare, immune system, medications, certain chemicals, and the type of pigment used. Exposure to UV rays will fade colour significantly - we recommend ALWAYS wearing sunscreen in your brows once healed. A colour boost is required usually between 18-36 months. A touch-up may be required sooner for oily-skinned clients, those who tan often, or exposed to certain chemicals (facial peels, chlorine, anti-aging products, etc.) often.

OMBRE POWDER BROWS
What is an Ombre Powder Brow?
An Ombre Powder brow is a technique that creates and defines without any hairstrokes. Using a permanent makeup device, layers of soft colour are deposited into the skin until the desired outcome is achieved. The artist is able to control the amount of colour deposited, from very light and soft, to a bold, well-defined shape. The front of the brows (near the nose) are softly faded to achieve the ombre effect, similar to the growth pattern of natural brow hairs. This technique lasts longer than microblading and is suitable for most skin types including oily skin.
Combination Brows
A combination brow utilizes both techniques (both hairstrokes/microblading and ombre powder) for the ultimate custom eyebrow enhancement.
